21XX Penn Ave N Saturday 8/18/12 0252hrs 12-260341
Officers responded to the above address in regards to a shooting. V1/male, 21 yrs, was DOA at the scene. V2/male, 28 yrs was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. No further information at this time.
Assault 2---w/a Dangerous Weapon / Damage to Motor Vehicle
5th St N & Broadway Ave W Tuesday 8/14/12 1130hrs 12-255235
Officers responded to a fight at this location & observed parties with improvised weapons. V1/male, 43 yrs, had injuries to his head, upper back, & left arm. V1 & witnesses stated that AP1/female, 43 yrs, V1’s ex-wife, stabbed V1 with a knife & AP2/ male, 21 yrs, struck V1 in the head with a baseball bat. Both AP’s were apprehended on the scene & booked in HCJ for PC Assault. V1 was transported to the hospital for his injuries.

37th Ave N & Lyndale Ave N Wednesday 8/15/12 2327hrs 12-257420
Officers responded to the hospital to take a shooting report that occurred at the above location. V1/male, 20 yrs, was transported to the hospital by vehicle. V1 was seated in the front passenger seat & sustained a non-life threatening wound to his upper leg. The bullet passed through the driver’s side door, missing V2/male, 25 yrs, who was driving. V2 drove V1 to the hospital. Victims heard several gunshots but did not see the shooter(s). No suspect information.

30XX Emerson Ave N Saturday 8/18/12 0235hrs 12-260328
Officers were in the area of 30th & Emerson for the sound of shots fired & heard more shots. Officers observed people getting into a Chevy Tahoe in front of the above listed address & the vehicle drove away without signaling. Officers attempted a traffic stop, but the vehicle stopped for a second & then drove off at a high rate of speed. Officers pursued the vehicle & observed an item that looked like a gun, being tossed out the passenger side window. The gun was recovered & the vehicle was finally stopped in front of 24XX James Ave N. Upon further investigation, it was learned that occupants of this vehicle fired shots into the residence at 30XX Emerson N where V1/male, 33 yrs, was shot in the area of his legs/feet. V2/male, 27 yrs, was shot in the area of his arms/hands. Both gunshot wounds were minor. Victims were transported to the hospital. Upon searching the suspect vehicle, Narcotics were found on the driver. All occupants were booked in HCJ for PC Assault 2. The driver was also booked for PC Fleeing & PC Narcotics. The arrested parties are:: AP1/male, 22 yrs; AP2/(the driver) male, 18 yrs; AP3/male, 31 yrs; AP4/male, 24 yrs; AP5/male, 19 yrs; AP6/male, 21 yrs; & AP7/male, 20 yrs.

45XX Lyndale Ave N Saturday 8/18/12 1800hrs 12-261177
V1/female, 28 yrs, & her sisters were in a vehicle & stopped to get gas. A green Ford Explorer pulled in, containing 4 other females. W1/female, 22 yrs, V1’s sister, recognized one of the women as S1/19 yrs, who she (W1) is not on good terms with. S1 recognized W1 as well & approached V1’s vehicle in an aggressive manner. V1 got out of her vehicle & attempted to tell known S1 to go away & S1 reached in V1’s vehicle in an attempt to steal W1’s purse. When V1 tried to intervene, S1 swung a knife at her & slashed V1 in the face. V1 suffered a deep cut on the side of her face below her eye, which was approx. 6-7” long. S1 got back into the Explorer & it sped away. V1 drove herself to the hospital & received 17 stitches to her face.

Officers were dispatched to the above location on an Assault. Officers spoke with V1/male, 55 yrs, who stated he was riding his bicycle when AP1/male, 32 yrs, & unknown S1/male, 25-30 yrs, approached him & argued about an incident that occurred 2-3 months ago. The argument escalated & AP1 & S1 began beating V1 with sticks. V1 had a possible broken arm & a large lump on his head. V1 was transported to the hospital via ambulance. V1 told officers where AP1 resided & he was taken into custody & booked in HCJ for PC Assault 2.
Girard Ave N & Lowry Ave N Tuesday 8/14/12 2101hrs 12-255897
Officers were in their squad when they witnessed AP1/male, 16 yrs, grab a bike from V1/male, 13 yrs., while V1 was riding it. AP1 threw V1 from the bike & got on the bike in an attempt to flee the scene. V1 chased AP1 on foot. Officers stopped AP1 & arrested him. AP1 was booked in JDC for PC Robbery. V1 had a sore elbow but refused medical attention. V1 was transported to his residence & his $600 bike was returned to him.
13XX Sheridan Ave N Wednesday 8/15/12 0330hrs 12-256793
V1/male, 24 yrs, stated he was walking when 2 unknown males, 20-30 yrs, approached him on foot & asked for a cigarette. V1 told suspects he did not have a cigarette & walked past them. Suspects confronted V1 with S1 holding him as S2 forcibly stole V1’s wallet containing misc ID & $40 in cash. S1 released V1 & suspects left the area. V1 was not injured.
51st Ave N & Dupont Ave N Thursday 8/16/12 0210hrs 12-257559
V1/male, 26 yrs, stated he was walking down the street in the above area when he was approached from behind by 2 unknown males, 17-19 yrs. S1 rode a bike into V1’s leg, then did a bear hug around V1 trying to hold him. S2 was on foot & ran over & pushed V1 to the ground. S2 got on top of V1 while S1 went through his pockets. Suspects stole $30 from V1’s pocket & fled. V1 was transported from the area.
5th Ave N & Humboldt Ave N Thursday 8/16/12 1900hrs 12-259522
V1/male, 55 yrs, stated he was riding his bike in the alley in the above area when he was confronted by unknown S1/male, 19-21 yrs, who blocked his way & asked about a cell phone. Unknown S2/male, 19-21 yrs, came up next to S1 while S1 choked V1 & demanded he empty his pockets. S2 went through V1’s pockets taking $47 in cash. S1 told V1 he didn‘t want his cheap cell phone, but took V1’s 10-speed bike. V1 ran away from the scene & called 911 twice, but was too upset to file a report. V1 knows where S1 lives & can identify the suspects.
14XX Dowling Ave N Thursday 8/16/12 2213hrs 12-258611
Officers were dispatched to a Robbery of Person at the above location & met V1/female, 38 yrs, who stated she was visiting a relative & went out to her vehicle, which was parked in front of this address. V1 stated she was approached by 2 unknown males, 19-22 yrs. Both suspects had guns pointed at V1 & demanded her purse. V1 gave suspects her purse & they fled on foot. V1 was not injured. Loss included $400 in cash; a cell phone; & keys to V1’s vehicle. Officers helped V1 get a private tow for her vehicle so suspects could not return with the keys & steal it.

V1/male, 35 yrs, has limited ability in speaking English. V1 told officer he was in his vehicle in front of the above address when police-type flashing lights were activated. Unknown S1/male, 25-30 yrs, wearing a blue coat, approached him & asked for his ID & wallet. V1 gave this party his wallet which contained ID & $2000 in cash. S1 then drove off with the wallet & money. V1 did not see any patch on the coat or markings on the vehicle that stopped him. V1 contacted Henn Co & State Patrol & was told no stop location was recorded by law enforcement. Officer searched through Channel 7 & also learned there was no recorded stop. V1 was not injured.
15th Ave N & Fremont Ave N Saturday 8/18/12 0848hrs 12-260461
Officers were dispatched to a Robbery of Person at the above area & spotted suspects as described by V1/female, 17 yrs. Four females, 14-15 yrs, were detained & V1 arrived & ID’d 3 of the 4, stating the one that punched her was not in custody. Officers checked the area further & located AP1/female, 14 yrs, who V1 stated punched her in the face & demanded her headphones & money. During a “show up” A1 admitted punching V1 while the others pulled V1’s hair & took her purse. All 4 parties were arrested & booked in JDC for PC Robbery.
6XX 18th Ave N Saturday 8/18/12 1845hrs 12-260948
Officers responded to a Robbery of Person & met V1/female, 71 yrs, who stated she was robbed at knifepoint of $210 in cash. V1 stated she was inside her apt. when unknown S1/male, 30-40 yrs, stated he was there to fix her TV. V1 did not find this suspicious, as she contacted Comcast earlier about her TV not working properly. V1 also complained to several residents in the building about her TV troubles. S1 told V1 it would cost her $60 to fix her TV. When V1 refused to pay, S1 pulled out a kitchen knife & grabbed V1’s wallet, removing $210. S1 then fled on foot. V1 did not recognize S1, but gave officers a description. V1 was not injured.

Undercover officers were conducting surveillance & observed AP1/male, 20 yrs, urinate in an alley in the above area. AP1 was in the company of AP2/male, 17 yrs, who also urinated in public. Marked squads were called to stop the parties. Both AP’s fled on foot & officers gave chase. AP1 was seen reaching into his pocket as he ran. AP1 was apprehended & officers recovered a 9mm handgun next to 33XX Oliver N. AP1 was booked in HCJ for PC Weapons. AP2 was cited & released for Urinating in Public.

8th Ave N & Sheridan Ave N Sunday 8/19/12 0125hrs 12-261472
Officers responded to the above area in regards to a BAIT vehicle activation. The GPS tracked the vehicle & it was stopped in the 2900 block of Upton Ave N. Two occupants, AP1/male, 16 yrs, & AP2/female, 18 yrs, were taken into custody. A baggie containing suspected cocaine was located on the driver’s side floor board. AP1 was transported to JDC & booked for PC Narcotics & PC Auto Theft. A 4” knife was found on AP1. AP2 was booked in HCJ for PC Auto Theft.

35XX Girard Ave N Monday 8/20/12 0105hrs 12-262434
Officers were dispatched to the above area on the report of shots fired. Officers noted that the house at this location had multiple bullet holes in the front & spent shell casings in the street. When officers entered the home to check for victims, they located AP1/male, 19 yrs, hiding in the basement near a shotgun. AP1 was the only one in the basement at the time & the shotgun was loaded with 2 rounds—one in the chamber & one in the magazine. AP1 gave an alias name belonging to his brother. AP1 was booked in HCJ for PC Weapons, False info to Police, & a Felony Warrant.

14XX Upton Ave N Monday 8/20/12 2330hrs 12-263462
Undercover officer observed AP1/male, 25 yrs, blocking traffic in the above area. Uniformed officers arrived to stop AP1, at which time AP1 turned away from officers & quickly reached towards his pocket. Fearing that AP1 had a weapon, officers took him into custody & pat searched him. A loaded .380 handgun was located in AP1’s front pants pocket. AP1 was booked in HCJ for PC Weapons. AP2/female, 20 yrs, was cited & released for Marijuana in a Motor Vehicle.
