ASSAULT:
Assault 2---w/a Dangerous Weapon
10XX Knox Ave N Tuesday 7/3/12 1807hrs 12-205447
Officers responded to an Assault in Progress & found that medical was on the scene treating V2/male, 59 yrs, who had a large laceration above his eye & was bleeding heavily. V2 appeared to be very intoxicated & was uncooperative when questioned about the incident. Medical advised that V1/female, 34 yrs, was inside the neighboring address. V1 had a laceration on the side of her face & possible tooth loss. She also appeared to be very intoxicated & refused to answer questions. Witnesses on the scene stated V1 & V2 argued verbally & that V2 hit V1 in the face with a golf club. V1 took the club away & then hit V2 in the head. Both victims were transported by ambulance to treat their injuries.
Assault 2---w/a Dangerous Weapon / WEAP---Carry a gun without a Permit & misc other charges
39XX Fremont Ave N Tuesday 7/3/12 2334hrs 12-205905
Officers were called to the above location on the report of a person with a gun. Officers heard 3 gunshots & observed a group of people run. AP2/male, 22 yrs, ran & threw a handgun while officers gave chase. Officers arrested AP2 & located the handgun. AP1/male, 22 yrs, was arrested & booked for misdemeanor Fleeing Officers on Foot as well as Probation Violation. AP2 was booked in HCJ for PC Weapons. AP3/ male, 19 yrs, was booked in HCJ for misdemeanor Fleeing Officers on Foot & Obstructing Legal Process.
Assault 2---w/a Dangerous Weapon (Attempt) / Traffic charges / Disorderly House
26th Ave N & Newton Ave N Saturday 7/7/12 0705hrs 12-209619
Female drivers in vehicle 1 & vehicle 2 got into an argument over a boyfriend at an unlawful after hours party. A fight ensued & property was damaged. The driver of vehicle 2 left & S1/25-35 yrs, followed & rammed vehicle 2 several times causing severe damage to vehicle 2. Vehicle 1 fled the scene & was later recovered. Both vehicles were towed & held for the Hit & Run Unit. No known injuries.
Assault 4---Police/Emergency Personnel / Disorderly Conduct / Resisting Arrest
17th Ave N & James Ave N Saturday 7/7/12 1757hrs 12-210099
Officers asked S1/male, 23 yrs, who is wheelchair bound, to leave North Commons Park because he was smoking marijuana near the kiddy pool S1 refused & was escorted off the property by officers. S1 became belligerent & spit twice at officers. S1 was maced & escorted off the property by friends however he returned & spat at officers again. S1 complained of a sore back after being handcuffed & was transported to HCMC. S1 was then released pending complaint.

29th Ave N & Girard Ave N Sunday 7/8/12 0215hrs 12-210838
Officers were dispatched to the hospital on the report of a stabbing & met V1/male, 27 yrs, who was uncooperative & would not provide any useful information about the incident. V1 stated he had been arguing with several people in the above area & unknown S1 stabbed him in the upper chest. V1 stated he left & called a friend to get a ride to the hospital. Upon further questioning, V1 became hostile towards officers & refused to answer any further questions. Nursing stated advised that the stab wound was minor.
Assault 3---Significant Bodily Harm / Terroristic Threats
51XX Camden Ave N Sunday 7/8/12 1406hrs 12-211124
Officers were dispatched to the above location in reference to an Assault. V1/female, 47 yrs, was pushed down by S1/male, 13 yrs, who is known to her. The incident was the result of an argument. V1 had abrasions from her shoulder down to her arm. She also sustained a lump on her elbow. V1 stated she had metal pins in her back from a prior injury. V1 refused medical. S1 was not located.

34th Ave N & Humboldt Ave N Sunday 7/8/12 2300hrs 12-211633
Officer responded to the hospital on a shooting report. V1/male, 15 yrs, stated he was walking alone in the above area when he was shot. V1 stated he did not know who shot him or where the shot came from. V1 sustained a gunshot wound to the side of his face which was determined to be non-life threatening. V1 contacted his cousin who took him to the hospital. No suspect information.

Golden Valley Rd & Oliver Ave N Monday 7/9/12 1135hrs 12-212015
Officers were dispatched to a shooting in the above area. V1/male, 23 yrs, was not found immediately, but it was determined he was at GVR & Queen Ave N. V1 sustained gunshot wounds to his thigh & hand. V1 denied any gang affiliation or involvement & described the incident as an attempted Robbery. V1 stated he was walking on the sidewalk when unknown S1/male, 25 yrs, accompanied by another male & female, suddenly pointed a gun at him. V1 was shot when he turned & fled. Wounds are non-life threatening. Suspects were GOA.

16XX Dowling Ave N Monday 7/9/12 2230hrs 12-212691
Officers were dispatched to Folwell Park on the report of shots. It was learned that shots were fired between 2 groups on the basketball court. The groups were last seen fleeing on foot & on bikes. It should be noted there are cameras covering the basketball court & the incident might be on camera. No known injuries.

36th Ave N & Aldrich Ave N Tuesday 7/3/12 0015hrs 12-204649
Officers were dispatched to 34XX Oliver Ave N to take a report from a Robbery of Person victim. V1/male, 41 yrs, stated he was walking home from a relative’s house when he noticed an older grey, 2 door car with “fishbone” rims parked in front of 37XX 6th St. N. The vehicle contained 2 males, 20-30 yrs. V1 walked on & at the above location, the 2 males from the vehicle confronted him & S1 pulled out a handgun, telling him to empty his pockets. Both suspects went through V1’s pockets. S2 hit V1 on the side of his head. After obtaining $170 in cash from V1, as well as a $170 pre-paid phone card & ID’s, suspects instructed V1 to walk in a certain direction while they fled. V1 sustained some cuts on the side of his temple but refused medical attention. Suspects were GOA.

Emerson Ave N & Lowry Ave N Tuesday 7/3/12 0220hrs 12-204735
Officers responded to a Robbery of Person at gunpoint near the above location & met V1/male, 24 yrs. who stated he was robbed after stepping off a bus. V1 was followed off the bus by 4 unknown males, 19-23 yrs. V1 stated S1 & S2 crossed the street & approached him, asking if he had any marijuana. V1 stated he did not & when he looked again, S1 had a large revolver pointed at his legs. V1 stated S1 & S2 took his cell phone valued at $350, his wallet containing $10 in cash, & his MN ID card. V1 stated S1 also took his Twins baseball cap. Suspects then fled on foot. V1 was not injured. Suspects were GOA. MTC was notified & will attempt to obtain a video of the parties who exited at the same time V1 did.

7XX Broadway Ave W Tuesday 7/3/12 0515hrs 12-204808
V1/female, 60 yrs, stated she was robbed at gunpoint in the parking lot of Cub Foods. Unknown S1/male, 30-40 yrs, approached V1 & asked for a light. When V1 stated she didn’t have one, S1 pulled out a handgun & held it to her head as he took items from her hands. S1 left in a black-colored vehicle with a slight tint to the windows. Loss was $125 in cash; ID & papers; & a cell phone valued at $50. V1 was not injured. S1 was GOA.

Lowry Ave N & Lyndale Ave N Tuesday 7/3/12 1120hrs 12-207522
V1/female, 54 yrs, came into the 4th Pct to make a report. V1 stated she was at the bus stop at the above location & unknown S1/male, 18-20 yrs, ran by & grabbed her purse from her shoulder. V1 waited 2 days to make this report. V1 claims this incident occurred & she needed a case number to get welfare replacement money. Loss was allegedly $1095 in cash inside her purse. No injuries. No suspect info.

18XX Lowry Ave N Tuesday 7/3/12 1435hrs 12-205256
Officers were dispatched to a Theft call at the above location & met V1/female, 46 yrs. V1’s daughter translated for her & V1 advised that she parked in the parking lot of 17XX Lowry, which is owned by her family, & exited her vehicle. Unknown S1/male, 30-35 yrs, approached V1 in the above area & ripped the pendant from her neck, breaking the gold chain. S1 fled on foot. The pendant is valued at $500 & the broken chain at $100. There may be video footage of the incident. V1 was not injured, but had a red mark to her neck.

15XX Queen Ave N Wednesday 7/4/12 2300hrs 12-206936
Officers were dispatched to a Robbery of Person & met V1/female, 35 yrs, & V2/female, 24 yrs. V1 stated she & V2 walked towards the alley in the above area to get their vehicle. V1 stated she was suddenly pulled back by unknown S1/male, who put a large butcher knife to her throat. S1 demanded V1’s purse & phone & took same. V2 was grabbed around her shoulder from behind at the same time by unknown S2/male, who did not have a weapon. S2 removed V2’s shoulder strap purse. Suspects then made the victims lie on the ground as they fled on foot. V1’s loss included $30 in cash; a Mexican ID in her name & a cell phone. V2’s loss was her purse & $60 in cash. Neither victim required medical attention. Suspects were GOA.

7XX Aldrich Ave N Thursday 7/5/12 1800hrs 12-207954
Officers received information that a Taliban gang member was armed with a handgun & it was seen in his waistband today. A CRI gave a description & the information that there was going to be a gang shooting. A Felony traffic stop was initiated & AP1/male, 22 yrs, & AP2/male, 22 yrs, led officers on a high speed chase in their vehicle. AP’s bailed from the vehicle & AP2 was caught & booked in HCJ for PC Fleeing Police in a Motor Vehicle. AP1 bailed from the vehicle with a gun on him & threw the gun during the foot chase. He then assaulted V1/female, 27 yrs, who was a passerby, by attempting to get away from officers & carjacking her vehicle. AP1 was also booked in HCJ for PC Weapons & PC Aggravated Robbery of Person.
ROBPAG / Assault 2---w/a Dangerous Weapon
45th Ave N & Lyndale Ave N Saturday 7/7/12 1210hrs 12-210148
Officers were dispatched to the hospital on an Assault that occurred earlier that day. V1/male, 24 yrs, did not speak English, so OT1/male, 19 yrs, translated for him. V1 stated he was standing at the MTC bus stop near the above location when S1/male, 20-40 yrs, pulled over in an SUV & asked V1 where he was going. V1 told S1 he was going to wire some money to his family in Mexico. V1 stated he used to work with S1, who offered him a ride to south Mpls. S1 pulled out a semi-automatic pistol during the ride & held it to V1’s head, threatening to kill him if he didn’t forfeit the money. V1 threw the money at S1 & got out of the vehicle. V1 stated he ran away, but S1 followed in the SUV & fired 5 shots at V1, but none hit him. V1 ran to an MTC & asked for help, but no one understood him. V1 collapsed on the bus from exhaustion & struck his head. V1 was transported to the hospital via ambulance for his injury. Loss was $2000 in cash.

32XX Humboldt Ave N Sunday 7/8/12 1635hrs 12-211223
Officers responded to the above location on the report of a Robbery of Person & met V1/male, 32 yrs who stated he was robbed at gunpoint by unknown S1/male, 25 yrs. V1 stated S1 jumped inside the rear of his uncle’s vehicle & told them to drive away. S1 reached into V1’s pocket & stole approx. $910 in cash, then fled from the back seat. V1 stated that Star Foods should have S1 on surveillance tape. V1 was asked how S1 knew he had so much cash & V1 lied at first then stated he was trying to buy some weed from S1 when he was robbed. Officers contacted probation & were advised that V1 was currently on administrative probation. V1 became AP1 & was booked in HCJ for misdemeanor Loitering with Intent to Purchase Narcotics & Probation Violation. S1 was GOA.

12XX Knox Ave N Saturday 7/7/12 0450hrs 12-209586
Officers observed a vehicle with 2 occupants sitting in a park. Officers discovered the driver of the vehicle to be nearly passed out & an odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. Officers observed the handle of a handgun protruding from under the driver’s seat, & a ski mask & holster were also located inside the vehicle. Neither occupant had a permit to carry the weapon. AP1/ male, 20 yrs, was booked in HCJ for PC Weapons.

A squad was dispatched on a Suspicious Person call. On arrival, officers were directed to where multiple males were hiding by a junior high school. AP1/male, 17 yrs, was found with a machete. AP1 was cited & taken to JSC.
