ASSAULT:
Assault 2---w/a Dangerous Weapon / Discharge Weapon
41XX Fremont Ave N Tuesday 6/19/12 2033hrs 12-188440
Officers responded to the above location on the report of shots fired & found a group of males standing in the rear of the address. V1/male, 22 yrs, stated he was playing basketball when he heard shots fired. V1 stated he was not injured & there was no damage to the residence from the shots. Officers located spent shell casings at 4043 Fremont. The other males would not provide their names & stated they didn’t want anything to do with police.

Assault 2---w/a Dangerous Weapon
4XX 36th Ave N Friday 6/22/12 0218hrs 12-191332
Officers were dispatched to the above location on a shooting & observed V1/male, 29 yrs, with a gunshot wound to his leg. V1 stated he thought his brother had been shot & left the scene on foot. Officers & K9 searched the area for V2/male, 35 yrs, but were unable to locate him. V1 was transported to the hospital via ambulance. V1 stated he was standing near his brother’s vehicle when he heard 5 or 6 shots. At this time, he saw a tan or cream colored vehicle driving towards his brother & himself. As the vehicle neared, V1 heard 5—6 shots which came from a person sitting in the rear seat of the suspect vehicle. Officers received information that V2 was at the hospital with a grazing gunshot to his calf. V2 stated he had been sitting in his vehicle talking to his brother when he heard gunshots & felt a burn on his leg. V2 stated he left the scene & got a ride to the hospital. V2 was uncooperative & would not provide information. No known suspects.

35th Ave N & Fremont Ave N Saturday 6/23/12 2325hrs 12-193853
Officers were dispatched to a shooting at 33rd Ave N & 6th St N & located V1/male, 19 yrs, with a t-shirt wrapped around his shoulder area. V1 stated he had been walking near the above intersection when he heard footsteps behind him & turned around to see unknown S1/male, reaching into his waistband. V1 ran & stated he heard a loud bang noise. V1 felt something like a bite, swatted at his back, & noticed blood on his hand. V1 stated he did not know S1, he is not in a gang, & has not had any problems with anyone recently. V1 was transported to the hospital via ambulance with a non-life threatening wound.

Assault 2---w/a Dangerous Weapon / Damage to Property
36th Ave N & Fremont Ave N Monday 6/25/12 1840hrs 12-195842
Officers responded to shots fired at a bus at the above location & learned that a single round impacted a window on the bus. MTPD Dispatch advised there were no injuries on the bus. Witnesses stated 3 males were sitting at the back of the bus & one was the shooter. The males had an argument & the shooter stood up & told one of the other males to get off the bus, but he refused. The shooter then ran to the bus driver & demanded to be let out at the above intersection, which happened. Once outside, the shooter drew a gun from his backpack & fired a single shot at the bus. The shot appeared to be aimed at the other 2 males in the argument. It was learned that V1/male, 17 yrs, (still on the bus, from the group of 3 males) used to be a member of the “Tre Six” gang & used to hang out with the shooter. From information provided, a Mpls Police Officer was able to determine the name & DOB of the shooter who was not located. A bullet core was located on the floor of the bus & 2 windows were damaged with an estimate of $300 to repair them.

33rd Ave N & 4th St N Tuesday 6/19/12 1452hrs 12-188102
Officers responded to the report of a Robbery of Person. V1/male 30 yrs was walking down the street when unknown S1/male, 22-28 yrs, pointed a semi-automatic gun at him & demanded V1’s gym bag. V1 forfeited the bag which contained a brand new pair of shoes & $4 in V1’s wallet. S1 fled. V1 was not injured.

Plymouth Ave N & Thomas Ave N Tuesday 6/19/12 2300hrs 12-188627
V1/female, 52 yrs, was approached by unknown S1/male, 16-19 yrs, who ripped her purse away from her. The purse/wallet set are valued at $250. V1 was not injured. V1 became AP1/ 52 yrs, after officers ran routine checks & learned she had an outstanding warrant. V1/AP1 was booked in HCJ for the warrant. S1 was GOA.

46th Ave N & Camden Ave N Thursday 6/21/12 1530hrs 12-190559
Officer was dispatched to the above location on a Robbery of Person & spoke to V1/female, 35 yrs, who stated she was on the corner waiting for her daughter to get off the bus. Unknown S1/male, 15-17 yrs, grabbed her son out of V1’s arms & grabbed the cell phone from her hands. S1 hit V1 on the left side of the neck while possibly trying to grab V1’s gold necklace. S1 then fled on foot. V1 requested an ambulance to check her out, which they did. V1 stated she would take herself to the hospital. The cell phone is valued at $700.

35th Ave N & Dupont Ave N Friday 6/22/12 1656hrs 12-191965
Officers were dispatched to a Person with a Weapon call & were approached by V1/male, 35 yrs, who stated he was robbed at gunpoint at the above location. V1 stated 4 unknown males, 18-20 yrs, approached him while he was on his bicycle. S1 pointed a handgun at V1 & demanded his possessions. S2 & S3 then went into V1’s pockets & took 2 cell phones. Suspects ran & V1 followed them & saw them enter 37XX Dupont Ave N. Officers made contact with the home owner & received permission to enter the home. No one was found inside & V1’s phones were not located. V1 stated he was not injured. The phones are valued at $200 total.

38XX Thomas Ave N Friday 6/22/12 1900hrs 12-195561
V1/male, 30 yrs, came into the 4th Pct to report he was robbed at gunpoint. V1 stated he was sitting in his car in front of the incident address when 2 unknown males, 17-19 yrs, approached his open window. S1 pointed a semi-automatic at V1’s head & demanded his belongings. V1 was not wearing a shirt & a gold necklace & gold watch were easily observed by the suspects. V1 gave them these items & when they asked for his earrings, he sped off. V1 could see the suspects running, so he turned around & chased them, but lost them at 37th & Russell N. V1’s friends told him the suspects live in the area. V1 was not injured. The loss is valued at $6000.

24XX Broadway Ave W Friday 6/22/12 1931hrs 12-192147
Officers were dispatched to the above location in regards to a Robbery of Person & were flagged down by V1/male, 18 yrs. V1 stated he posted an ad on Craigslist to sell his i-Phone & was contacted by a male who stated he wanted to purchase it for $500. V1 stated they agreed to meet in the parking lot of CVS at the above address. V1 was sitting in his car waiting for the buyer when S1/male, 15 yrs, came up & snatched it from V1’s hands. V1 stated S1was the party who agreed to buy the phone, as he recognized his voice. V1 shared the phone number S1 used & officers recognized it from a similar incident that happened. Officers were able to ID S1 who was not located. V1 was not injured.

23XX Aldrich Ave N Saturday 6/23/12 1100hrs 12-193016
Officer was flagged down by V1/male, 25-35 yrs, & observed he was only wearing boxer shorts & had blood on his face. V1 was very agitated & stated 2 males tried to rob him with guns & knives. V1 refused to tell officer how the guns or knives were used & he also refused to share the names of the suspects. V1 got into an ambulance without incident. Officer received information en route to the hospital that a caller saw a man jump out the front window of the incident location. It was learned that V1 had been doing drugs, became agitated, & jumped out the window. V1 was belligerent & uncooperative at the hospital & stated 2 males attempted to rob him, but he refused to say where & refused to answer whether or not he jumped out a window. V1’s wounds were non-life threatening.

39th Ave N & Dupont Ave N Sunday 6/24/12 1350hrs 12-194519
V1/female, 22 yrs, stated she went to the above area to pick up a friend when S1 & S2, males, 20-25 yrs, drove up in a newer black Explorer. V1 knew the suspects as acquaintances of her ex-boyfriend, who is now in Chicago. V1 got into the suspect vehicle holding $450 in cash in her hand. S2 pointed a semi-automatic at V1 & demanded the money, which she gave him. Suspects then drove off. V1 changed her story stating she was meeting the suspects there then stated she was meeting her girlfriend. V1 was not injured. Suspects were ID’d by only a first name for S1 & a nickname for S2.

Golden Valley Rd & Penn Ave N Sunday 6/24/12 2315hrs 12-195008
Officers responded to the call of a person down & later learned this was a Robbery of Person. V1/male, 22 yrs, stated he was walking home when 2 unknown males, 16-18 yrs, approached & asked him for a cigarette. V1 did not give them one & suspects punched him several times in the head & chest. The suspects rummaged through his pockets taking 2 gold bracelets. V1 attempted to leave the area but felt dizzy & fell to the ground. V1 thought he lost consciousness. V1 was transported to the hospital via ambulance. Suspects were GOA. The value of the loss is unknown.

36XX Colfax Ave N Monday 6/25/12 1825hrs 12-195823
Officers were dispatched to a Robbery & met V1/male, 13 yrs, who was sitting on the front steps of his house. V1 stated his bike was propped against the house & unknown S1/male, 16 yrs, approached & told V1 the bike belonged to him. V1 argued & S1 pulled up his shirt, displaying a gun. S1 then got on the bike & rode off. V1 stated S1 did not point the gun at him & there was no physical contact between the 2 of them.
