ASSAULT
1510 GLENWOOD WEDNESDAY 0730 HOURS 08-349037
Teacher punched five times in the face and the school nurse punched once by a student who was being talked to about wearing an inappropriate shirt to school. Both parities seen for their injuries. Note – this is the 5th time the teacher has been assaulted at school during the current school year. Arrested was a 13 year old black male w/7 CAPRS
1510 GLENWOOD WEDNESDAY 0815 HOURS 08-349053
Two teachers bit & punched by a student being told that due to disruptive behavior he couldn’t go on a field trip. Note – this is the 7th time one of the teachers has been assaulted at school since January 2006. Arrested was a 12 year old black male w/18 CAPRS
44TH & IRVING FRIDAY 2228 HOURS 08-351831
Taliban gang members disrupted a party and when the party broke up shots were fired striking an 18 year old black male w/28 CAPRS once in the lower back. The victim transported w/a non life threatening injury. Officers were unable to locate a suspect but did recover approximately 11 shell casings from the street and a replica handgun in a backpack.

Officer kicked in the groin area while attempting to book a suspect at HCJ. Arrested was Jolanda McClennon a 40 year old black female w/40 CAPRS

Two 22 and 15 year old black males w/3 & 4 CAPRS came to the precinct and reported being robbed @ gunpoint of their wallets and phones by two 16-20 year old black males, one of which he knows from the area.

A 20 & 17 year old black female and male robbed @ gunpoint by parties known to them. One victim knew where a suspect lived and showed officers who did a knock & talk, obtained consent to search and found both suspects. A search warrant was obtained and evidence, including a gun and the victim’s purse recovered. Arrested were two 16 year old black males w/23 & 8 CAPRS

35 year old black female robbed @ gunpoint of her purse and keys by a 25-30 year old black male after dropping off a friend.

57 year old white male beaten and robbed @ gunpoint by four 18-22 year old black males who fled with $1,860 just collected rent money.

49 year old Hispanic male robbed of $127 by two parties, one of which was said to be a cross dressing black male, who sprayed him w/mace.

11 year old black male robbed by three 11-13 year old black males who beat him up and fled with his wallet.

Pair of Dice driver was walking to his parked car when a 20-25 year old black male approached and @ gunpoint made him move to an area of the lot without camera coverage. At that location two additional males were waiting and the armed suspect struck victim in the head w/the butt of the gun causing it to bleed. Suspects fled with $60 in cash and victim transported to the hospital.

33 year old black female robbed of $1,800 @ gunpoint by a 23-25 year old black male, after leaving a check cashing store.

25 & 41 year old black male and white female w/34 & 0 CAPRS robbed of their wallet and purse @ gunpoint by two 19-22 year old black males while they sat in their car. Both victims struck with the shotgun used during the robbery and chased the suspects for a bit after the incident. Victims said suspects possibly fired at them while they were chasing them. Two 51 & 48 year old white females were approached by two males one of which ripped a bag from one victims shoulder. One victim chased the suspect and grabbed his jacket however he threw her to the ground. Victim transported for knee injury.

38 year old white male robbed of his wallet, laptop, camera, phone, keys and coat @ gunpoint by two 18-20 year old black males while at the bus stop. Victim said he could possibly ID the suspects and while officers were giving him a ride downtown he said he saw them. Yuam Yuam Chinese Restaurant driver robbed of $53 cash & $45 in food @ gunpoint by two 19-20 year old black males.

23 year old black male robbed of his MP3, smokes and keys by two 20-22 year old black males who approached as he left a store, rifled his pockets and fled w/loss.

While at the bus stop a 23 year old black male w/10 CAPRS was robbed of his phone and a $2,500.00 necklace w/gold cross @ gunpoint by a 23-28 year old black male in a vehicle which lists to a rental agency. Victim made the report at the 1st Precinct.

Traffic stop for improper lane change/failing to signal a turn found the driver not to have a license, an open bottle of liquor and recovered a 9MM with a loaded clip and an obliterated serial number. Arrested were Brodrick Jenkins, Gerald Buffett & juvenile female, 22, 24 & 16 year old black males and a female w/23, 1 & 18 CAPRS
2nd ST & BROADWAY THURSDAY 0503 HOURS 08-350047
Traffic stop lead to the recovery of a loaded 9MM which was hidden in the engine block. Driver a 24 year old black male from Illinois said he has an Illinois permit to carry and he was told if he presents it he’ll get the gun back.
5201 BRYANT FRIDAY 2141 HOURS 08-351779
Officers received information regarding a party planned at this location which was to be attended by ‘YnT’ and ‘Taliban’ gang members. After a couple calls for service in this normally quiet neighborhood a detail was coordinated utilizing several mid and dogwatch cars and the party was shut down. One person found in front with a loaded 44 caliber sawed off shotgun and another with a replica handgun. 100+ teenagers were sent from the party. The party organizers, security and renter were all tagged and sound equipment was inventoried. Officers responded to a verbal argument between a group of black males and females with the mention of a gun. Upon arrival officers find some parties inside a vehicle and a search recovered a 9MM inside a McDonalds bag. Arrested were three juvenile males, one juvenile female & Andia Harris, 15, 16, 17, 17, & 18 year old black males and females w/23, 6, 6, 0 & 8 CAPRS

Park officers observed a suspicious male who was carrying a BB gun who said he’s awaiting trial on a burglary case where he took lottery tickets from a gas station to payback a debt he owed related to burning down a home. Arrested was a 16 year old black male w/0 CAPRS

3701 Vincent – 1840 hours – 08-348576. An unfounded Pergun call which ended up being a verbal between two parties, both of which refused service, tied up at least 14 cars.
626 Broadway – 2114 hours – 08-348739. Assisted Fire with a small fire in a gas station storage room.
1333 James – 2302 hours – 08-348842. Park officers arrested a party with a Burglary PC Pickup. Arrested was Ryan Poppen a 23 year old white male w/49 CAPRS
WEDNESDAY
21XX James – 1540 hours – 08-349387. Dispatched to an in progress burglary officers located the suspect who was ID’d by the victim and found to be a noncompliant sex offender. Arrested was Robert Johnson a 48 year old black male w/22 CAPRS
22nd & Penn – 2115 hours – 08-349734. Traffic stop found the noncompliant driver to be suspended and the passenger to have a warrant and crack in his possession. Arrested were Cedric & Chrisptopher Banks, 22 & 20 year old black males w/39 & 26 CAPRS
26th & Washington – 2356 hours – 08-349902. Intoxicated driver hit a semaphore at Broadway and Washington then crashed just north of that. Arrested was Shaun Martin a 25 year old black male w/42 CAPRS
THURSDAY
44th & Irving – 1025 hours – 08-350174. Responding to a violation of restraining order call and upon arrival K9 Officer observed a vehicle leaving. The officer activated his lights in an attempt to stop the suspect however they didn’t pull over so the officer then activated his sirens and lights but the driver fled and ran several stop signs before pulling over at 49th & Girard. Arrested was Gerri Williams a 42 year old black female w/14 CAPRS.
Broadway & Ilion – 1100 hours – 08-350200. 14 yr old girl was walking when a male came around the north corner of Broadway & James. The male then grabbed her arm and put his hand over her mouth and dragged her to a vehicle parked behind 18XX Broadway. When they were next to the truck the victim kicked him in the groin, pulled free and ran to school. Suspect described as white male, unknown age and with a deep voice.
SATURDAY
5105 Fremont - 0815 hours - 08-352212. Officers responded to an in progress Theft and apprehend an adult male for stealing tires and wheels off a car and take him to property crimes where he is interviewed. Arrested was Michael Jackson a 25 year old black male w/96 CAPRS
25th & James – 0004 hours – 08-351938. Curfew arrests. Arrested were two 16 & 17 year old black males w/3 CAPRS each
14th & Lyndale – 0150 hours – 08-353096. Traffic stop finds driver w/out a valid license and all occupants arrested for curfew and the car was towed as auto theft tools were found inside. All occupants are suspected gang members and the stop probably saved something from being broken into or cars being stolen. Arrested were Toua Moua & four juvenile males, 18, 15, 16, 17 & 17 Asian males w/0, 8, 0, 0, 0 CAPRS
SUNDAY
20th & Fremont - 1729 hours - 08-353654. Traffic stop finds driver in possession of cocaine, baggies and a scale along with other paraphernalia. Arrested were Karl Foster and Joshua Pointon, 30 & 18 year old white males w/0 CAPRS
33rd & Bryant – 1831 hours - 08-353711. A party with a nationwide extradition warrant out of Florida for prostitution/pimping located during a traffic stop. Arrested was Jennifer Wilson a 30 year old black female w/0 CAPRS
MONDAY
7th & Queen – 1253 hours - 08-354389. Officers responded males breaking into a home while the resident was away and upon arrival capture suspects a half a block away. The back door had been kicked on and screens were cut. The victim arrived home and ID’d her property which the suspects had on their person. To add to the icing on this cake, the next door neighbor (who had called 911) snapped digital photos of the suspects while they committed the crime! The suspects were taken to P4 Property Crimes for interviews. Another outstanding job by officers and hats off to the neighbor who will be nominated to the Chief for a citizen’s award. Arrested were two juvenile males & Gregory Goode Jr., 14, 15 & 18 year old black males w/11, 6 & 13 CAPRS
JCAT - Mpls Juvenile Division, 4th Precinct Officers, Brooklyn Park Officers, Hennepin County Sheriff Deputies, Hennepin County Juvenile Probation and US Deputy Marshalls made the following contacts and or arrests in the Fourth Precinct though it should be noted not all officers are not present at every scene due to agency schedules and field logistics. All warrants confirmed prior to beginning field operations and at each location officers explained the purpose and objectives of JCAT.
Male @ 14XX 25th. Active: Terroristic Threats w/gun. Priors: Motor Vehicle Theft, Loiter with Intent to Buy or Sell
Narcotics, Narcotics, Curfew and Assault 5. Officers knocked for an extended period of time w/out answer although it was apparent people and two large aggressive German Sheppard’s were home. Eventually the subjects’ sister answered, secured the dogs and allowed officers in. Several young children, a cousin and a younger brother were also present. Officers learned the subject hangs around with two males who reside at 75XX Dupont N, 47XX 6th St. N & 26XX Lyndale N. In addition another friend was interviewed at a St. Louis Park location where a juvenile was also present. JCAT later received a call from the subjects’ mother, who is out of town, and she was provided information related to JCAT’s activities.
Male @ 31XX Fremont. Active: Gun in Public. Priors: Handgun, Curfew X3, Loiter with Intent to Buy or Sell Narcotics & Weapons. Officers knocked and his mother answered and advised he was inside and was arrested in bed.
Male @ 20XX Penn. Active: 1st Degree Aggravated Robbery of Person. Priors: False Information to Police, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Tobacco, Curfew X2, Narcotics and Robbery of Person. Subjects intoxicated mother answered and advised he was inside. Subject was located sleeping on the floor in an upper bedroom and arrested. His mother said he comes and goes, is seldom there, doesn’t keep clothes there as he has another place to stay. Residence belongs to the subject’s Grandmother.
While on patrol offices observed a party walking w/a hood over his head and a shirt pulled up covering his nose and mouth they were seeking and stopped him. The subject recognized officers and fled on foot however was caught after a foot chase @ 30th & Fremont. Active: False Information to Police & Assault. Priors: Assault 5 X2, Handgun, Obstruct Legal Process, Consume Liquor, Disorderly Conduct X5, Curfew X3, Trespass & Damage to Property. It was discovered that his aunt lives at 30XX Fremont. He made very threatening comments to police of a violent and sexual nature without provocation.
