ASSAULT
17th & EMERSON TUESDAY 1006 HOURS 08-145661
15 year old female transported for a dislocated elbow received during a fight with a 14-18 female known to her from school.
29th & IRVING WEDNESDAY 2045 HOURS 08-147687
Dispatched to a FIGHT involving juveniles and located a 12 year old black female who said she was cut with a box cutter on her head by a 12-13 black female who was GOA. Officers transported her home to her parents who refused ambulance for a minor injury.
4210 HUMBOLDT THURSDAY 0750 HOURS 08-148169
SHOTS call where a 61 year old black male w/56 CAPRS said his girlfriend was shooting at him after a verbal argument. Search warrant was drafted to look for the gun however it wasn’t located. Arrested: Rhonda Cobbs, BF/49 w/5 CAPRS
1315 LOWRY THURSDAY 1732 HOURS 08-149664
Officers were called to the Library on a fight however all parties were GOA upon their arrival. On the following day employees reported that while reviewing video tapes they saw a good facial picture of one of the fighters w/a gun. Mpls Gang Unit apprised.
35XX MORGAN THURSDAY 1915 HOURS 08-148899
On Wednesday a 9 year old black male was threatened with a BB gun and today the suspect came to his house and shot at it. Suspect is a 10-13 year old black male whose been seen around the neighborhood
4223 DUPONT FRIDAY 2205 HOURS 08-150296
Officers flagged down by a 42 year old black male w/27 CAPRS who had a gunshot wound to his buttocks and would only tell officers he was shot while outside on his porch. However a female witness said it was essentially a drug rip off where three males came into the house and shot victim. Officers found spent .45 caliber casing & several small baggies of weed inside the residence.
35th & PENN SUNDAY 0245 HOURS 08-151927
23 year old black male w/3 CAPRS transported by others w/a non-life threatening stab wound. Victim said he was at a party when “Super Boy” pushed him out of house, stabbed him in the back and fled. Officers unable to locate a crime scene.
22/LYNDALE SUNDAY 0300 HOURS 08-151929
Two 32 & 36 year old black males w/57 & 31 CAPRS provided limited information other than a black male wearing a black hoodie shot them in the hand and elbow. No scene found.
2501 GOLDEN VALLEY RD #103 SUNDAY 0830 HOURS 08-152032
26 year old black female w/48 CAPRS punched in the face by “TY” a 20-25 year old black male, over a previous comment about his girlfriend and later returned and fired at the victim and three others in the house.
1312 NEWTON SUNDAY 1720 HOURS 08-152368
Dispatched to a PERGUN officers observed a male fleeing and after a short foot chase apprehended him. No gun found and it was determined a 16 year old black male was assaulted with a baseball bat, which was recovered, while protecting his mother who was having a verbal with the arrested. Two suspects fled and one was arrested Arrested: Darryl Parker, BM/20 w/19 CAPRS a Black Gangster Disciple Nation
36th & EMERSON SUNDAY 2045 HOURS 08-152551
Dispatched to a SHOTS offices stopped a 29 year old black male w/49 CAPRS and two others who said they were shot at by person or persons in a grey Dodge. One victim had holes in his shirt were he said the bullets passed through.

35TH & LYNDALE TUESDAY 2000 HOURS 08-147131
49 year old black female w/46 CAPRS had her purse containing 4 different meds, keys and cash taken by a 30-35 year old white male after exiting the bus. Suspect fled in a station wagon.
3801 FREMONT WEDNESDAY 1745 HOURS 08-147468
20 year old black female said two black males took her Chev Caprice as she left the Super USA. Vehicle is still on hot sheet.
33rd & GIRARD WEDNESDAY 1424 HOURS 08-148463
46 year old black male w/15 CAPRS waited a day and went to the 1st Precinct to report being robbed of his bike, wedding ring and cash @ gunpoint by a 27 year old black male as he was walked in the alley.
39TH & FREMONT WEDNESDAY 2326 HOURS 08-147909
40 & 46 year old black males robbed @ gunpoint by two males and upon arrival officers got in a foot chase with the suspects, caught one and set a perimeter catching the second one a short distance later. A replica BB gun and victim’s loss recovered. Resources: 423, 431, 426, 423, 424, 959, 923, 463, 460, 430. Excellent job by all officers. Arrested were 15 & 16 year old black male’s w/15 & 8 CAPRS

Deaf 37 year old Asian male robbed @ gunpoint of his bike by 19-21 year old male known to him.

13 year old black male assaulted & robbed of his phone and $2.00 by two 12-15 year old black males after leaving a party in the area.
LOWRY & LYNDALE SATURDAY 1000 HOURS 08-151980
42 year old white male robbed of $3.00 by a 20-25 year old black male while he waited for the bus.
14th & KNOX SATURDAY 1410 HOURS 08-151044
20 year old white male w/31 CAPRS robbed of $35.00 @ gunpoint by persons known to him. Shortly after taking the report an officer sees the car which attempts to flee and crashes into a garage and both suspects flee. However one suspect, a 22 year old black male w/28 CAPRS, drops his cell phone with his picture on it. K-9 track unsuccessful & suspect’s car towed.
1205 HUMBOLDT SUNDAY 0007 HOURS 08-151705
Female reported being robbed of her purse and necklace by two 20-30 year old black males. Victim then arrested on a warrant. Arrested: Sandra Green, BF/40 w/10 CAPRS
27TH & PENN SUNDAY 0341 HOURS 08-151942
Intoxicated 26 year old Hispanic male robbed @ gunpoint by two black females and a black male who he said came knocking on his door asking if he wanted sex for money.
1911 WILLOW MONDAY 0832 HOURS 08-153058
51 year old black female w/38 CAPRS said unknown 20-3 year old black male approached yelling and screaming about someone at the house owning him money. After victim told him she didn’t know what he was talking about he struck her with a large stick and she then handed over $110.00 she had in her bra. Suspect, who victim knows by his street name, fled in a car driven by another party.
4301 FREMONT MONDAY 1223 HOURS 08-153222
48 year old white male was on the corner when four 14-16 year old black males walked by and asked him a question and he replied. The next thing he knows is he’s waking up on the sidewalk with a witnesses asking if he was ok. Witnesses saw suspect punch the victim and flee with his guitar.

2027 2ND STREET TUESDAY 0030 HOURS 08-145319
During surveillance on Stand-Up Franks a male is seen arguing with an employee outside the bar and then the male pulls out a gun, fires a shot and attempts to leave in a car. Information is aired and K-9 Officer observes the car @ @ 22/Washington and stops it. Officer unable to locate the gun in the car so K-9 tracked back and found a 380 caliber w/altered serial numbers. Nice job!! Arrested: Ambres Palmer, 24 year old black male w/22 CAPRS, a convicted felon
27th & BRYANT WEDNESDAY 0144 HOURS 08-146648
Vehicle stop found the driver revoked and led to the recovery of crack cocaine, an open bottle and a 45 caliber pistol. Arrested: Sashanda Keofoot, Deana Gurley, William Starks & Sam Meeks, black females & males, 29, 28, 32 & 35 years old w/8, 15, 8 & 35 CAPRS
HUMBOLDT & OHM WEDNESDAY 1242 HOURS 08-147039
PERGUN call with caller saying he’d been threatened and upon arrival officers and Hennepin County Deputies observe suspect and another party hiding in bushes near 8th & Humboldt. Suspects then ran EB across a crowded playground at the Phyllis Wheatley Center. The party with the gun, who had his hands in his waist band as he ran, tossed the gun and then the cylinder just as officers were apprehending him. A 22 caliber revolver with a scratched out serial number, its cylinder and rounds recovered. Resources: 424, 448, 430, 402, 8805 and HCSO Deputies. Officers did an excellent job given number of young children on the playground. Arrested were 15 & 16 year old black males w/4 & 8 CAPRS
FREMONT & LOWRY THURSDAY 0012 HOURS 08-147957
Traffic stop on suspended registered owner and as officers approach the vehicle they smelt burning marijuana and after taking the occupants out locate 9MM pistol hidden behind a dash panel and one party holding crack cocaine. Arrested: Michael Vanhook, Troy Young & Arnell Walker, all black males, 22, 27, 22 years old w/10, 11 & 33 CAPRS
30th & 6TH STREET THURSDAY 2113 HOURS 08-148956
SHOTS call where officers observe a group of males standing at the corner and as they approached one party fled and while doing so officers observe him throw a small black object. Officers located the black object which was a loaded .22 caliber revolver. Arrested: Derrick Martin, BM/18 w/13 CAPRS who is awaiting trial on a 10/07 & 2/08 gun possession arrests.
4130 BRYANT FRIDAY 2224 HOURS 08-150326
While in the area on a SHOOT call officers stopped a vehicle driving without it lights on. Although unrelated to the SHOOT the vehicle contained a loaded 40 caliber Ruger and marijuana. Arrested: Fontane Hollie, 25 year old, black males w/28 & 109 CAPRS
30TH & LYNDALE SATURDAY 0004 HOURS 08-150495
Officers observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed and upon stopping it observed a 9MM Beretta, which was found to be loaded, on the front seat in plain sight and a quantity of suspected Ecstasy. Arrested: Scott Ghoston, BM/31 no history
3310 PENN MONDAY 1914 HOURS 08-153571
Traffic stop found driver to be revoked and a gun later determined to be a BB gun. Arrested: Darryl Littleton and a juvenile, 19 & 16 year old black males w/7 & 3 CAPRS

1122 Lowry – Tuesday – 0150 hours - 08-145391. Video captured a suspect break into “E & L Foods”. Later while on directed patrol officers spot a possible suspect and determine he was the guy in the video. Arrested: Darnell Counce, BM/32 w/34 CAPRS
4307 Logan – Tuesday – 0215 hours – 08-145396. Officers responded to a “Stabbing” and found a party gone bad with 50 year old black male w/17 CAPRS, who was about to OD on heroin, saying he’d been stabbed in the hand by his girlfriend after they argued about having a threesome. This is a problem address/occupants. Arrested: Carolyn Oatis, BF/39 w/18 CAPRS.
900 Washburn – Wednesday – 1605 hours - 08-147265. Officers responded on three persons carrying a body into the woods. A perimeter was set and 1280 and K9 responded and searched but nobody/nothing was located in the woods. Trooper 7 requested , but was unavailable. Resources: 420, 460, 4402, 1280, 424, 412, 964, 426, 840, 804 ,821, 422 and 408.
25th & Emerson – Thursday – 0008 hours – 08-147951. Officers observe a driver fail to stop for a stop sign and upon running the plate it comes back as a Fridley stolen. Arrested: Letitia Lewis, juvenile female & Omar Abdullah, two black females and a black male, 18, 15 & 37 years old w/9, 12 & 25 CAPRS. Driver also tagged for no license and not properly restraining her 2 year old.
15XX Hillside - Thursday – 0830 hours – 08-148198. Two juveniles broke into a dwelling and then a motor home where the victim trapped them but they escaped out a window. A citizen chased down one of them and handed him over to police. Arrested was a 12 year old black male w/18 CAPRS
17th & Irving – Friday – 2048 hours – 08-150161. ROBPER call w/the caller being the same as one who called in an earlier unfounded SHOTS call. Upon arrival a resident pointed out a male saying he made the 911 call and when he was carrying a cell phone which had multiple 911 calls dialed within the previous hour. The male was transported to Juvenile unit, admitted to calling 911 & falsely reporting crimes was then transported home and released to his parent. Arrested was a 13 year old black male
49th & Lyndale – Saturday – 0215 hours – 08-150651. State Patrol was in a chase westbound on 94 and then dispatch aired that suspect vehicle crashed at 49th & Lyndale at the Regional Park and that the troopers had the suspect in custody. Minneapolis squads were not involved in chase however the vehicle caught fire and Minneapolis Fire responded.
1624 Washington – Monday – 0254 hours – 08-152965. PERGUN call at Old Colony an upon arrival officers find the lot packed and then hear a barrage of gunfire. All parties fled as officers requested back up. After the lot was clear no victims located but almost 20 casings and a possible “Taliban” gang hat were located.
13th & 44th Avenue – Monday – 1547 hours 08-153371. MTC bus rider reported a male w/a gun which was then taken by a black female who fled with it when officers arrived. Officers went to an apartment building the female went into and were told by a resident an unknown female knocked, entered w/out permission and left out the rear door. Arrested: Demario Jefferson, BM/19 w/42 CAPRS
21st & Fremont – Monday – 1736 hours – 08-153477. Officers observe a driver traveling the wrong direction on Fremont from Broadway and initiated a stop however the driver flees, then driver abruptly pulls to the curb at 26 & 6th where he had to be forcibly removed from the vehicle. Arrested: Daniel Welch, BM/18 w/3 CAPRS
45th & Humboldt – Monday – 1810 hours – 08-153504. SLUMPER which appears to be a 73 year old male driver who pulled to the curb and died with his foot on the brake.
Lyndale & Plymouth – Monday – 2044 hours – 08-153665. State Patrol pursuit entered the precinct @ Broadway and the initial information was the vehicle was a stolen. While attempting to get in position to assist the driver hit another car @ Plymouth & Lyndale. It was later determined the female driver was intoxicated and her drivers license was CANC-IPS. State handled the accident scene and booking the female and we assisted with traffic control.
40XX Vincent –Tuesday – 0214 hours – 08-154030. Female called 911 saying her boyfriend threatened to shoot the children. During further conversations her story changed regarding the threats. The male was belligerent and refused to let officers in to check the children. Three SWAT Negotiators working the northside and were able to convince him into letting officers check the children who were determined to be fine and denied any threats being made. Call lasted approximately 2 hours with most of the precinct providing perimeter until the children’s welfare could be determined.

ARRESTS: Narcotics Loitering X5, Weapon/Reckless Discharge X1, Loitering with intent to sell or purchase X8, Trespass X9, public Consumption X6, Warrants X2, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia X2, Littering X3 and Obstruct Legal Process X2.
RECOVERED: 2 Rocks Crack cocaine, 14.4 grams Crack Cocaine, 3.1 grams Meth, 132 grams marijuana and one semi automatic.
1624 Washington – Thursday – 0156 hours – 08-148055. Officers dispatched to Old Colony on a Minneapolis stolen being fueled at the pumps and upon arrival observed it pulling away from the pumps and conducted a felony stop Arrested: Jean Petersdorf, WF/34 w/83 CAPRS, was also arrested on Wednesday in a Minneapolis stolen.
1900 Morgan – Friday– 1507 hours – 08-149752. Officer recognized a driver known to be revoked and a computer check showed a misdemeanor warrant so he was stopped and found to be carrying suspected ecstasy. Arrested: Rodney Brown, BM/33 w/72 CAPRS
1604 Broadway - Saturday – 2106 hours - 08-151436. Officer checked a vehicles registration and found it to be a Bloomington stolen. Arrested was a 17 year old black male w/3 CAPRS
JACT - Personnel from Mpls Juvenile Division, 4th Precinct Officers, Minneapolis Park Police, Hennepin County Sheriff Deputies, Hennepin County Juvenile Probation & Deputy US Marshals made the following contacts and or arrests in the Fourth Precinct. All warrants confirmed prior to beginning field operations and at each location officers explained the purpose and objectives of JCAT.
Male @ 7XX Emerson & 27XX Taylor NE. Active: Burglary. Priors: Curfew x2, Transit Crime, Disorderly Conduct and Theft. Subject located at the Taylor address where officers learned he had a court hearing that day.
Male @ 17XX Lyn Park. Active: Disorderly Conduct. Priors: Narcotics Loitering x6, Litter, Narcotics x2, Assault 5, Motor Vehicle Tampering, Curfew x2 & Transit Crimes. Subject not located. Later officers sought him @ 30XX Lyndale and learned he no longer lives there. Open investigation.
Female @ 23XX Lyndale. Active: Assault 5 x2. Priors: Assault 5, Disorderly Conduct, Domestic Assault 2, Terroristic Threats, Harassment, Runaway and Curfew x2. Parents told officers she turned herself in.
Male @ 3XX 25th. Active: Disorderly Conduct/ Priors: Obstruct Legal Process. Neighbors report him hanging on the street displaying Gang hand signs. Subject wasn’t home. However officers went back later and observe him inside and arrested him. He was confrontational towards police without provocation. His mother said he couldn’t be involved with gangs because he is 17 years old and has never been allowed to go outside until now.
Male @ 16XX 26th. Active: Assault 5. Priors: False Information to Police & Impede Traffic. Officers knocked and he answered during school hours so was arrested. He was watching Judge Matthes on television at the time.
Male @ at 35XX 6th St. Active: Terroristic Threats. Priors: Curfew x3, Narcotics x3, Narcotics Loitering, Damage to Property x4, Tobacco, Domestic Assault, Auto Theft, Disorderly Conduct x5, Trespass, Assault 5 x4 & Terroristic Threats. Subject been on the run and sought by JCAT for a long time was confrontational towards police without provocation
Male @ 32XX Newton. Active: Domestic Assault. Priors: Domestic Assault x2, Curfew x2 & Disorderly Conduct. Officers developed information leading to his arrest in south Minneapolis.
Male @ 39XX Girard which was found dwelling vacant with mailings still arriving there for his family. Active: Damage to Property. Priors: Taxi Fare Evasion , Domestic Assault, Curfew, Runaway x4, Disorderly Conduct x2, Damage to Property and Assault 5 x3. Open investigation.
